About

This project began with the extensive re-design of all external areas of a grand Wilkinson style residence on a steeply sloping site. After major external works were carried out to the front external areas of the property, the rear areas were then commenced. A large flat suspended entertaining area was created on previously unusable sloping garden space, with the design incorporating a large room below. The works also involved extensive underpinning & shoring work to allow for the space to be created. The exterior works included five main sets of external stairs clad with recycled bricks, extensive sandstone & brick works, terracotta shingles, Tuscan render, landscaping and detail to match existing characteristics of the house.

Works then moved to the six bedroom residence. This involved creating several new large openings out to the new balcony, a new kitchen with butler’s pantry and general maintenance of the property over the years. The major achievement has been that all works tie seamlessly into the original design of this landmark property.
